As the singer & songwriter with Crowded House, Finn sent a series of deceptively simple, lyrically poignant dispatches from the frontline of contemporary pop, notching up a fair few hits in the process. One Nil, his second solo album, finds Finn employing lurching, funky beats on the hammering, New Radicals-styled Don't Ask Why & disturbingly sombre atmospherics, underpinned by funereal drums, on Elastic Heart. Alongside these standout tracks is the keening melodic & impossibly lovely new single Wherever You Are.
